2019년 브리딩 센터를 시작한 이후 우리는 몇번의 혹독한 날씨를 겪었습니다.
여름의 폭염, 장마철의 폭우, 영하의 혹한, 겨울의 폭설 등 모든 것을 다 겪었죠 :).

A visit Begonia Bird Park in Gapyeong
On the occasion of the visit of veterinarian Dr. Patrick Ghysels from Belgium we were invited for a visit at Begonia Bird Park in Gapyeong on November 2nd, 2023. The Park was not open for visitors yet. Dr. Patrick Ghysels is one of the few avian veterinarians specialized in bird disease related to the birds diet. For the managers of Begonia Bird Park it was a great honor to have him as a guest.
After a warm welcome by the committee of the park we had a tour in the indoor aviary. Unfortunately there were not so many birds yet due to a serious and long-lasting outbreak of Avian Influenza. Anyway we saw some Sun conures, a red tail black Cockatoo, Turacos, Black Swans and Penguins.
We also visited an exhibition of beautiful Begonias, a tropical plant which genus contains more than 2000 different species. After leaving the Bird Park we had a short coffee break at Aqua Garden, only 1 minute away from the Bird Park. This place was also still in preparation but we were able to witness the unique set-up of aquaria and a restaurant in one location. The Aquaria are beautiful decorated with dead wood and moss and the humidifiers create a magical effect of mist. Still a lot to come but we saw already some beautiful turtles and fish.
When visiting Begonia Bird park this is a place that you absolutely shouldn’t miss.
