This 111-page book by Iain Bridge is written specifically for those without basic genetic knowledge. It is easy to use and understand for beginners and experts alike. It has many colorful illustrations of the most common mutations in parakeets and parrots and also includes examples and self-test questions to better understand everything.

2. Asian Parakeets and their mutations

This 560-page book written by Jack Bastiaan, was published in 2004 and is probably the most comprehensive on Asian parakeets. It deals mainly with the breeding of the different mutations of Indian Ringneck parakeets. For the most part, the book contains outcomes from the offspring of pairs of Indian Ringneck parakeets. It also focuses on other Asian parakeets such as the Alexandrine parakeet, the Plum-headed, the Red-breasted parakeet, the Malabar etc. This book is a must for lovers of Asian parakeets.

2. 아시안 패러킷과 그들의 돌연변이

잭 바스티안이 쓴 560페이지 분량의 이 책은 2004년에 출간되었으며 아시아 앵무새에 관한 가장 포괄적인 책입니다. 이 책은 주로 인디언 링넥 패러킷의 다양한 돌연변이 번식에 대해 다루고 있습니다. 이 책은 대부분 인디언 링넥 패러킷 한 쌍이 낳은 새끼의 번식 결과를 담고 있습니다. 또한 알렉산드린 패러킷, 자두-머리 앵무새, 붉은-가슴 앵무새, 말라바 등 다른 아시아 패러킷에 대해서도 집중적으로 다루고 있습니다. 이 책은 아시안 패러킷 애호가들에게 꼭 필요한 책입니다.

3. Ringneck Color Genetics

This 169-page book written by Dr. Deon Smith (†), was published in 2012. Dr. Deon Smith, professor of physics and breeder of Indian Ringnecks, covers the basics of genetics and describes the different types of mutations. When this book was published, certain mutations such as the Emerald (Aqua) were not yet fully known. Especially valuable is also the addition of a bit of history of the various mutations, the origins of the names as well as examinations of how the mutations interact with each other. In our opinion, this is a book that should definitely not be missing from the book collection of the serious breeder. These days a copy of this book is difficult to find.

3. 인디언 링넥의 색상 유전학

Deon Smith 박사(†)가, 쓴 169페이지 분량의 이 책은 2012년에 출간 되었습니다. 물리학 교수이자 인디언 링넥 브리더인 디온 스미스 박사는 유전학의 기초를 다루고 다양한 유형의 돌연변이에 대해 설명합니다. 이 책이 출간될 당시에는 에메랄드(아쿠아)와 같은 특정 돌연변이는 아직 완전히 알려지지 않았습니다. 특히 이 책이 다양한 돌연변이의 역사, 명칭의 유래, 돌연변이의 상호작용에 대한 고찰을 추가한 것은 매우 가치 있는 부분입니다. 저희 생각에 이 책은 열성적인 브리더라면 반드시 소장해야 할 책입니다. 현재 이 책의 사본을 찾기는 쉽지 않습니다.
